Emilia is a region renowned for its historic farms, specialising in cattle breeding and the direct production of cheese products. The area is home to some of Italy’s most celebrated culinary treasures, including Parmigiano Reggiano, which must be produced according to strict regulations to meet PDO standards. The sector’s high demand and intense competition require companies to maintain precision, efficiency, and care at every stage of production. This drives them to invest in reliable, high-performance, and, above all, versatile equipment, for concrete support throughout the entire production cycle.

To explore this topic further, we visited Azienda Agricola Giaroli Elio & Figli farm in Marmirolo, in the province of Reggio Emilia, which belongs to the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium.

We were warmly welcomed by Elio, the owner, and his son Nicola, who have been running the company with dedication and passion for over 30 years. Their work is divided between the farm, which is home to 1,100 animals (500 of which are milk-producing), and the dairy, which produces approximately 38 to 40 wheels of cheese daily.

DIECI Telehandlers: versatility at its best

Azienda Agricola Giaroli’s partnership with DIECI began in 2005 with the purchase of its first telehandler. The company needed a machine that was more versatile than a tractor or excavator — one that could efficiently handle tasks both in the fields and within the facilities.

With their first telehandler, they found exactly what they were looking for, leading them to expand their fleet over the years to include 4 additional DIECI models. The most recent addition, acquired in 2022, is the Agri Farmer 32.9, a machine renowned for its exceptional fluidity and precision, even in the smallest movements.

What ultimately won over the Giaroli Farm was the remarkable versatility of DIECI’s agricultural telehandlers. Equipped with an extensive range of features and specialised attachments, these machines ensure that the right tool is always available for every specific need.

As Nicola explains: “We use the telehandlers with bale forks, the flour bucket, and the traditional bucket for cleaning bedding and moving manure. We also use them to transport water and milk bins for the calves.

The advantage of a telehandler is its versatility — it allows us to perform multiple tasks efficiently, and, most importantly, its telescopic boom enables us to reach greater heights.”

Innovative telehandlers, at the service of farms

Over the past 20 years of collaboration, the Giaroli farm has closely followed the evolution of DIECI telehandlers, contributing its insights along the way. In fact, by listening to the needs of local businesses, the Research & Development team continuously invests in new features that simplify, accelerate, and enhance the production cycle for agricultural enterprises.

As Nicola further explains: “One of the key advantages is the ease and speed with which I can complete all the necessary operations. The latest DIECI telehandlers have further improved performance, particularly in terms of execution times and road transfers, even when carrying heavy loads."

For farms that frequently move between multiple plots, having a vehicle that combines agility and control, even on the road, is a significant advantage, optimising the work phases while ensuring simplicity and comfort.

Trust, support, and reliability: it's the people who make the difference

“I’ve been working with DIECI for 19 years. It’s been a great experience — and the feeling is mutual.”

Beyond the value and reliability of DIECI’s telehandlers, it is often the people behind them who make the difference. In fact, the partnership between DIECI and Azienda Agricola Giaroli Elio & Figli is built on trust and strong personal connections, particularly between Elio and DIECI’s technical team.

Thanks to their close proximity and the mutual respect they have consolidated since 2005, the farm has become a key partner in DIECI’s development process, testing new vehicles from the earliest stages of production. Elio’s willingness to participate has allowed DIECI to trial new models and innovative technologies directly in the field, receiving immediate, real-world feedback from professionals who use them daily. It is thanks to partners like the Giaroli family that DIECI is able to offer such a comprehensive, precise, and effective range of solutions, tailored to meet the evolving demands of an increasingly competitive sector.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Elio and Nicola for welcoming us onto their farm, supporting our work, and continuing to choose DIECI for their business.
Until next time!
