Wide open spaces, specialised activities and a continuous work cycle with intense rhythms throughout the year: this is the productive life of Agro Podlesì a.s., a major Czech farm that has been choosing the reliability of DIECI telehandlers since 2015.

Spread across 3 different locations at altitudes between 300 and 500 metres, the company runs a mixed operation, adhering to high performance standards, particularly for material handling, in various environments and under harsh temperature conditions.

In order to meet the requirements needed to maintain quality and competitiveness, over the past 10 years Agro Podlesì has relied on guidance from the Dieci Agrozet dealer for the purchase of 5 telehandlers, which have fully won the company over with their distinctive functionality and performance.

Telehandlers for livestock farming: the success story of Agro Podlesì a.s.

Agro Podlesì a.s. is a farm specialising in mixed and intensive livestock production, with 1,350 dairy cows and a daily output of just under 50,000 litres of milk. The feed allocation is based on ensiled forage, mainly maize, alfalfa and clover. In addition to livestock, its 3 branches are also involved in the production of forage crops, dedicating 3,500 hectares of arable land to traditional market crops.

In 2015, in need of a new work vehicle for the Bahno barn, the farm turned to its dealer Agrozet to purchase a new machine. The result was the first DIECI articulated telehandler to be put into operation in the Czech Republic, the T40 articulated telehandler.

Over the past 10 years, the reliability demonstrated during annual use under constantly changing operating conditions has convinced the company to equip its other two centres with Dieci vehicles.

Today, Agro Podlesì’s vehicle fleet includes 5 DIECI telehandlers:

  • the T40 articulated telehandler for the Bahno barn;
  • the T50 articulated telehandler for the Červené Janovice centre;
  • two Agri Farmer 32.6 fixed telehandlers for the Petrovice farm;
  • the mini telehandler Mini Agri 26.6 for the Bahno barn.

10 years of efficiency with the T40 and T50 articulated agricultural telehandlers

The model that paved the way for the long-standing partnership between Agro Podlesì and DIECI was the Agri Pivot T40 articulated telehandler, which is still in perfect working order today, and has accumulated over 16,000 operating hours.

Equipped with articulated steering and a central cab, this agricultural vehicle offers the operator:

  • excellent front and side visibility;
  • manoeuvrability and agility, essential features in livestock operations;
  • safety and operational continuity.

This vehicle’s main area of application remains the Bahno barn, equipped with permanent bedding for dairy cattle, where the DIECI T40 telehandler, fitted with buckets and pallet forks, is used for:

  • loading straw;
  • cleaning the traffic lanes;
  • loading manure onto semi-trailers;
  • preparing feed rations.

Satisfied with the results and performance of this agricultural vehicle, in 2016 the company decided to purchase a second articulated telehandler, the Agri Pivot T50, for its other location in Červené Janovice. Once again, the Agri Pivot stood out for its robustness and efficiency, achieving an average use of around 1,500 hours per year.

Fixed telehandler for agriculture: the Agri Farmer in the Czech Republic

One year after acquiring the Agri Pivot T50, Agro Podlesì further expanded its fleet with the purchase of the Agri Farmer 32.6 fixed telehandler for the Petrovice farm.

This agricultural telehandler is still used for a variety of tasks, such as:

  • gathering and loading manure;
  • unloading pallets from lorries;
  • assisting with forage preparation.

The features that make the Agri Farmer 32.6 unique are:

  • the quick coupler, enabling rapid tool changes directly from the cab. This allows the operator to switch from a fork attachment to a bucket attachment in just a few clicks, without getting out the vehicle;
  • integral steering, providing stability and agility, thanks to three steering modes that can be selected when stationary;
  • safety and comfort, for optimised use under all working conditions, even during the coldest months of the year.

The advantages of this agricultural telehandler led the company to purchase a second Agri Farmer 32.6 2 years later.

The Agri Farmer range includes telehandlers designed to meet the needs of agricultural businesses.

Within the DIECI range, the Agri Farmer stands out as the most agile line of agricultural telehandlers: designed to work alongside tractors in everyday tasks, it’s ideal for small and medium-sized farms.

Powerful for heavy-duty tasks, compact for working in confined spaces and, above all, easy to use and maintain, these fixed telehandlers guarantee an extremely high level of precision, even when performing small movements.

Ease of use is a key feature: operators quickly become familiar with the machines, allowing multiple people to take turns at the controls and work from morning to evening without interruption.

The Mini telehandler: the Mini Agri 26.6 compact agricultural vehicle

The most recent DIECI telehandler purchased by Agro Podlesì in 2023 was the Mini Agri 26.6: one of the most popular agricultural vehicles worldwide. The mini telehandler was initially chosen to replace the T40 articulated telehandler previously purchased, but thanks to its continued excellent performance the company was able to keep it in service at the Bahno barn.

The DIECI mini telehandler is therefore now working alongside the T40, ensuring optimised performance throughout every work season, even in winter:

  • the cold start of the four-cylinder engines is always reliable;
  • the air-conditioned cab ensures maximum comfort in every season.
